When it comes to the inner workings of a mechanical timepiece, watch enthusiasts are highly curious: They revel in technical terms and details, such as frequency, lines, jewels, … and, of course, they love to have an unobstructed view into and onto the movement. Much to their delight, Hamilton has lately added three new timepieces with open-worked dials to its elegant Jazzmaster collection, the Jazzmaster Open Heart Automatic. An intriguing pattern of dial openings reveals parts of the automatic H-10 caliber with 80 hours of power reserve and innovative Nivachron balance spring that sets pace within the 42mm stainless-steel cases.

The wearer has a front-row seat onto the balance and balance wheel and can also spot parts of the main plate decorated with perlage. While the two new dial colors, a midnight blue and a deep green hue, feature a dark-to-light gradient effect, the silver white dial comes with blue-flamed hands. The Jazzmaster Open Heart Automatic is offered with a leather strap for $995 and a five-link metal bracelet for $1,045.
