Stargazing on the Dial: MeisterSinger Releases a Limited Edition of the Astroscope

Those who are familiar with the German watch brand know that it has made a reputation with their single-hand wristwatches indicating the time in five-minute increments. While this concept seems minimalistic and is intended to do so, it is quite amazing how MeisterSinger varies the topic, not only in beautiful colorways but also by adding all kinds of functions and complications, such as moon phases and recently even a sophisticated sonnerie au passage with a striking mechanism in the award winning Bell Hora.

The Astroscope, first introduced in 2019, offers a highly creative approach of displaying the weekdays by connecting them to the celestial bodies they were originally named after, such as the moon for Monday, Mars for Tuesday, and so on. A dot next to the seven symbols indicates the current weekday.

The new edition comes in a 40mm stainless-steel case and features a sunray-brushed blue dial reminiscent of the evening sky that makes for a magnificent backdrop and contrasts beautifully with the yellow leather strap. The watch is equipped with the tried-and-tested Sellita SW220 automatic movement that can be viewed through the exhibition case back. Pricing for the 100-piece limited edition is currently marked at $2,400 when converted to USD.
