Swiss boutique brand Louis Erard unveils the Excellence Petite Seconde Terracotta, a stainless steel dress watch with a subtle vintage aura inspired by the 1960s. Available in two sizes, 39 mm and 42 mm, the limited edition boasts a matte terracotta dial with a circular satin finish, which references the Jura Mountains where the company has been based since 1929.
As the Excellence Petite Seconde Terracotta’s name suggests, the small seconds take center stage at 6 o’clock. The slightly recessed indication is highlighted by a circular guilloché pattern which creates a nice contrast with the other parts of the dial. The intense earth toned hue of the dial makes for a great backdrop for the watch’s signature “fir tree” hands in anthracite gray, and as well for the color-coordinated hour markers and numerals.
The self-winding Louis Erard is driven by a Sellita SW261-1 caliber, with it completed via a dark brown Baranil calf leather strap. Approximately 100 timepieces in both the 39mm and 42mm size will be produced annually, with both versions retailing for 1,950 CHF (about $2,110 USD).
