Changing the Clocks: Daylight Saving Time Begins Tonight

Share

Ready to “spring forward?” As we inch toward spring, it’s time to change our watches and clocks again. Standard time will give way to daylight saving time on March 13 at 2 a.m. in almost every state in the U.S, with the exception of Hawaii and most parts of Arizona.

If you belong to the folks who think “do I have to advance the hour hand or set it back,” it is the first, as illustrated in the picture above, meaning we will loose one precious hour of sleep. However, in accordance with the term daylight saving, we will be treated to longer days and later sunsets. And we will gain an additional hour of sleep on November 6, when we will “fall back” into standard time.
