Wrist Watches
Time pieces have been part of our life for millennia, from the very elaborative sun clocks of the beginning of time to the very modern multi-functional analog and digital watches of modern society.
A Brief History:
Leonardo Davinci drew what is known as the fusee for a clock in 1485. A fusee is a spirally grooved pulley and chain for counteracting the diminishing power of the uncoiling mainspring inside watch movements. Fusee’s are critical for the creation of the modern watch.
In the 1500’s, Peter Henlein created what is known as the first pocket watch.
On 1687, brilliant clockmaker Daniel Quare, created a mechanism to make a bell sound every 15mins and every hour.
